The second Vigil Praise ever at the Athenaeum/Mount St. Mary’s Seminary on Friday, October 30 was a great blessing to a crowd of about 200, most of whom were young adults. There were some differences this go around, such as the fact that the music was amplified and praise & worship played a more integral role, Deacon Timothy Fahey’s sermon on saints and martyrdom was provocative to many, and the beautifully orchestrated and sung night prayer was among the favorites of the attendees. Of course adoration of Our Blessed Lord was the central focus–two hours straight with Confessions, in fact. A large crowd gathered downstairs afterward for conversation around chips and lemonade.
The Vigil Praises will continue to roll out now, twice per semester. Mark your calendars for Friday, February 26 and Friday, April 29. Come join us and bring a friend!
